Between 1996 to the present, Walkabout Pictures has been contracted by Microsoft Corp. to provide hundreds of stills, 360 photography and video for their Encarta Encyclopedia, Encarta Africana and Expedia products. Discovery Channel chose Walkabout Pictures to provide all the photography for their interactive CD-Rom games "Byzantine" and "Himalayas." Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema employ Walkabout Pictures to shoot on their most important films.
